New Site
Here is a site I set up for a friend who is just getting started with her new business. It is very basic, but is a good starting point so people can see what she is about and what she has to offer. She has been a hairstylist for years, is an accomplished artist and photographer. Now she is rolling all of her skills into one.https://sites.google.com/site/bobbitydo/ Check it out!

Photoshop and PowerPoint
Here is a PowerPoint presentation about the Utah State University Ropes Course. A group for a business class went there to learn real world business principles. I really enjoyed the experience! https://sites.google.com/site/sanderson2040/system/app/pages/admin/attachments

"I really enjoyed my experience abroad, and I feel like it will influence my life for years to come. Living in another country, I was able to look at the world and my own country from a broader viewpoint and experience world events from a different perspective." -- Switzerland exchange program
The Huntsman School of Business offers once in a lifetime study abroad opportunities. Compared to other colleges, USU ranks highest in most "bang for your buck" on study abroad. What greater way to get up to 12 core business credits than learning in a globalized business environment. The program includes:
- Up to 12 credits
- Round-trip airfare
- Lodging
- Transportation
- Food
- Books
- Internet
- Museums
- Housekeeping
- Laundry
- Travelers insurance
I have applied for the Design Thinking Switzerland study abroad for this coming summer. I am now awaiting to hear if I am accepted. I am so glad that I chose to pursue my education at Utah State. The possibilities are so numerous and my experience has been everything I wanted and more.

Collaboration Technology
"Any business that expects to thrive today must have at least a basic understanding of the various innovations, programs and devices as well as the knowledge of how to apply these technologies. The many tools and powers that technology makes available to the business owner and employees can help the business succeed in its goals after understanding how to use them properly" states James Vinzer in his article The Role of Technology in Business Communication.
In any team or group effort, communication is key. This is the same for businesses, sports teams, study groups and many more. Thanks to technology, communication is more simple, fast and cost effective than it has ever been in the past.
Some of the new tools include:
- Google Wave
- Google Docs
- Wikis

What can a professional blog do for businesses?
Business blogs are sweeping the business community. More and more companies are using blogs as a tool to communicate with customers, employees, networking and to save money.
The biggest advantage that I see to having a blog for a business is the customer interface a blog can provide. Today's consumers are finding out about new products and businesses on the web via facebook, twitter and blogs.
To keep up with competition companies need to use social media to their advantage. Blogs can make large corporations have a more personal feel. Customers have a chance to give feedback to the company. Blogs are an excellent method to share a company's expertise, build additional web traffic, and connect with potential customers.

Blogging?
Hi. I'm Sarah. |
I have been convinced to start a blog. I've never been sold on the idea of blogging. It used to be that the only people I knew that used blogs were newly wed couples and families that were far away from each other. Now, everyone has a blog: businesses, families, sports teams, college kids -- Everyone.
So...to start off, here is a little bit about me:
My name is Sarah Gene Anderson
Raised in Grantsville, Utah -- Home of the Cowboys
Likes: snowboarding, Swedish fish, family & friends, outdoor anything.
Dislikes: ketchup, Logan winters, accounting exams, being bored.
I am currently attending Utah State University, pursuing a degree in Business with an emphasis in Management Information Systems and a minor in Multimedia.
1st blog down. I think I can handle this.
Blogspot -- Bring it on.
